Characteristic Token Table

Name

Explanation

Accept

This indicates if it is accepted or not

AQL

This is the average quality limit listed

Balloon Locations

This will list all locations for any balloons associated with a characteristic when a balloon is turned on.

Balloon Number

This is the Balloon Number listed on your file.  This may be different from your Characteristic number as Characteristic Numbers are required to be unique identifiers. Whereas a balloon number could be a duplicate.

Basic

This indicates whether or not a dimension is a Basic dimension

Characteristic Location

This is the page number and the zone location combined into one field.

Characteristic Zone

This indicates the grid location of the characteristic

Characteristic Number

This is a unique identifier generated for each dimension by InspectionXpert. (This was named Balloon Number in InspectionXpert OnDemand.)

Classification

This is the Characteristic Designator (ie Critical, major, key, etc...)

Comments

This is a free text column where you may type your comments for the characteristic.

Custom Fields 1 - 10

These are customizable fields that can be designated by the user

File Name

This is the file name of your original file

Fit Grade

Inserts the fit grade field for a characteristic

Fit Type

Inserts the fit type field for a characteristic

For Reference

This indicates whether the characteristic is a reference dimension

File Path

This is the filepath location of your original file

Full Balloon Location

This lists the full balloon location of characteristics

Inspection Method

This is a value from a list that specifies what method of inspection should be used to inspect the attribute.

Key

This indicates whether the characteristic is a key characteristic

Lower Limit

This is absolute lower limit of the dimension and is arrived at by subtracting the lower tolerance of the dimension from the nominal value of the dimension.

Minus Tolerance

This is the lower tolerance value of the dimension.

Operation

This indicates the inspection process assigned to the characteristic

Quantity

This is the quantity associated with the characteristic. For example, if there are 3X or three instances of the characteristic to be inspected.

Reject

This indicates whether or not it is rejected

Requirement

This lists the requirement of a characteristic

Plus Tolerance

This is the upper tolerance value of the dimension.

Sample Size

This is the sample size of characteristics

Sheet + Zone

This is the page number where your balloons are located and the zone where it is.

Specification (image)

The nominal value of the dimension using special GDT font to represent GDT and other symbols.

Sub Type

The sub-type of the characteristic such as length, perpendicularity, position, depth, diameter, etc.

Type

The type of characteristic, such as Dimension, GTOL, Note, Hole Callout, etc.

Units

The units for the dimensions nominal and tolerance values.

Upper Limit

This is absolute upper limit of the dimension and is arrived at by adding the upper tolerance of the dimension to the nominal value of the dimension.

Value

This is the nominal value of the characteristic. This is also the numeric value for GDT, Weld and Surface Finishes, and the Note value.
