Save as PDF and Export to Excel

Using Publish/Export > Save as PDF and Export to Excel

 

Using the Home tab or the InspectionXpert button you can publish your ballooned file as a PDF, Publish to an Excel report template, or do both operations at the same time.

 

To Publish to PDF:

1.Click the Home tab and then click   OR click Home>Publish, and then click PDF, which opens the Save as window.

2.Search for and select a location in which to save your PDF.

3.Click in the Filename text box and then type a name or accept the default filename.

4.Click Save, which saves and opens the file

To Publish to Excel:

1.Click the Home tab and then click  OR click Home>Publish, and then click Excel, which opens the Excel Export window.

2.Go to the Export to Excel section to use the Excel Export window.

 

Using the Home menu you can save create a 3D PDF from a 3D Model or a 2D PDF from either a 3D Model or a 2D Drawing.

 

To save as a 3D PDF using a 3D Model:

1.Click Home and then click  OR click Home>Publish, and then click 3DPDF, which opens the Save as window.

2.Search for and select a location in which to save your PDF.

3.Click in the Filename text box and then type a name or keep the default name.

4.Click Save.

 

To save as a 2D PDF using a 3D Model or a 2D Drawing

1.Click Home and then click  OR click Home>Publish, and then click 2DPDF, which opens the 2D PDF Export Options when exporting from a 3D Model.

a)Export Resolution:  Select the Resolution of the PDF to be created

b)Page Size:  Select the Page size of the PDF to be created

c)Include:  Select to include Captures and/or Views in the PDF to be created.

Note:  This setting is not available when using a 2D Drawing

d)Remember Settings:  Select this if you wish to persist these settings going forward.

2.Select OK which opens the Save As window.

3.Search for and select a location in which to save your PDF.

4.Click in the Filename text box and then type a name or keep the default name.

5.Click Save.
